First, I would like to apologize for taking so long to update our letter. We have been very busy. The Lord has seen fit to move us out of evangelism and into a position as Music Pastor at Shelton Beach Road Baptist Church in Saraland, Alabama. The Lord clearly closed one door and opened another. Sometimes we do not understand why, but God knows so we just say “What would you have me to do?” and God has shown us.
We have been with Shelton Beach for one month and the Lord is blessing in so many ways. We found a house right away and are settled in. My health has been good. The traveling was hard for me health wise, so that was one of the reasons we had to change our direction in ministry. Shelton Beach Road Baptist Church is a wonderful church. Pastor Gary Shockley is pastor and what a great man of God. They have welcomed us with open arms.
Andrew has settled down in school and is doing well. Home school did not agree with Andrew or Debbie and on the road that was our only option. Debbie is happy in the church. She is church pianist and Sunday School teacher and is able to work part-time for the church and be home for Andrew after school. It is also a blessing to be close to both our daughters in Evergreen, Alabama. They are just an hour and a half away attending college at Reid State.
I have had to shift gears back into choir directing and leading the worship service, but it came right back to me. I wanted to let you know how much we appreciate your prayers and support over the last year and a half. We saw 52 souls saved during our evangelistic ministry. What a blessing! We are going to miss evangelism, but God has given us a great church to continue our ministry.
